RHUBARBFEST IS A FAMILY FRIENDLY FREE FESTIVAL ORGANISED BY THE UNICORN INN, CARLTON SOCIAL CLUB AND M J LEISURE 

\\ DATE //

Rhubarbfest is being held on Sunday 28 May 2016 from 12:00pm onwards.

 

\\ LOCATION //

Rhubarbfest is located on Main Street, Carlton (WF3 3RW).

 

Fair rides and stalls are sited in front of The Unicorn Inn and Carlton Social Club.

 

The Main Stage is to the rear of The Unicorn Inn and the location of the Acoustic Stage is inside Carlton Social Club.

 

\\ MAIN STREET CLOSURE //

Main Street in Carlton will be CLOSED TO TRAFFIC between The Unicorn Inn and Chapel Street on Sunday 29 May 2016 from 6:00am to 11:59pm.

\\ PARKING //

DO NOT PARK ON THE JUNCTION OF MAIN STREET/NEW ROAD WITH CHAPEL STREET. Buses need this turning area to access Chapel Street.

 

Free festival parking has been kindly been provided by Greenfield Produce, located off Cemetary Lane (SatNav WF3 3QT):

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Please park sensibly, remaining courteous to local residents and ensuring that you do not prevent buses and emergency vehicles from passing.
 

\\ PUBLIC TRANSPORT //

Carlton Village is serviced by the 444 WY Metro Bus.

 

The 9/10 Ring Road Bus passes within a 5 minute walk of the Village, near the junction of Carlton Lane (A654) and Stainton Lane.

 

Ask the driver for 'Carlton Lane, Rothwell'.

 

\\ CHILDREN //

Rhubarbfest prides itself on being a family friendly festival, however, please supervise your children.

 

Any lost children should be reported to the sound desk at the Main Stage to the rear of The Unicorn Inn. Announcements will be made for the children/parents via the PA systems.

 

\\ FOOD & DRINK //

The Unicorn Inn and Carlton Social Club will both be serving alcohol and soft drinks. The Unicorn Inn and Carlton Social Club will be selling 'festival food'.

 

\\ ALCOHOL & DRUGS //

Please ensure that you have appropriate ID and drink sensibly. Pace yourself for a long, fun day!

 

We have zero tolerance for drugs and banned substances.

 

The Rothwell Neighbourhood Policing Team have been invited to join us for the day.

 

\\ PRS FOR MUSIC //

PRS for Music licences the use of copyright music across the UK, giving businesses and

organisations the legal permission they need to play the music they want.

 

These licences ensure that music publishers, songwriters and composers are fairly rewarded

with royalties so they can keep making music - and mean that we’re able to support music at

events like this.
